Classes

Tap- Class will begin with a warm up. This class is great for rhythm and sounds. There will be steps and combinations. Students will tap to different music styles. Classes are taught in levels and abilities.

Jazz- Class will begin with a warm up. Body placement and stretching will be focused on during warm up. We will focus on body alignment and work on flexibility.Students will also focus on learning leaps, and turns.

Ballet- This form of dance strengthens all other dances.Ballet helps with balance, strength, and discipline. In Ballet students will learn positions, body placement, barre work, poise and grace.

Lyrical/Modern- Classes where jazz/ballet forms are combined. These style dances will tell a story through the lyrics of a song.

Pointe- Is a form of Ballet using shoes with boxes on the toes. The boxes allow dancers to perform on their toes. Several years of Ballet is required to take this class. Teachers will recommend this class after student(s) have had proper Ballet training and their legs have had properly development.

Clogging- Clogging is a type of dance in which the dancer’s footwear is used percussively by striking the heel, the toe, or both against a floor or each other to create audible rhythms, usually to the downbeat with the heel keeping the rhythm.

Hip-Hop- Street style dance moves along with alot of technique taught within the classes. Students will learn the most up to date Hip Hop moves.

Acrobatics/Tumbling- This class focuses on flexibility, and floor work. Floor work starts with basic forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, backbends. Following all the basic floor work students will be advanced and moved up into levels as they progress.
